Penguins Lose in 3rd; Host Devils Tonight

The Pens lost a tough game against the Sabres last night in Buffalo.  John Curry got his first NHL start in the game and looked flustered at times.  It seemed like Curry was moving frantically and never in control of his movement or the puck.  Despite making 3 highlight saves in the 3rd, Curry found the puck infrequently and gave up a goal in the last minutes of play.

Sidney Crosby scored 2 goals and Tyler Kennedy found twine in the game.  While the Penguins controlled the pace for most of the game, they were unable to possess the puck in the 3rd and was ultimately the reason why they left.  The Pens never really gained control of the puck in the final minute and were unable to get a real chance with Curry pulled.

A good note on the game was that we thought Janne Pesonen was called up to replace Talbot because of his injury.  Luckily, it looks like Maxy will be playing through the foot injury as he played last night.

Watch the Penguins look for redemption as they take on the New Jersey Devils tonight at Mellon Arena.  Game time is 7:30 and can be seen on FSN Pittsburgh and heard on 105.9 The X.

Let's Go Pens!
